Contest Rules

1. Organizer

The organizer of the contest is the

Advertising Association of the City-Center Bergedorf Shopping Center GbR
, Bergedorfer Straße 105
, 21029 Hamburg
, Germany

hereinafter referred to as “City-Center Bergedorf” or “CCB.”

2. Contest and Contest Mechanics

As part of the sweepstakes, a Plexiglas tube containing a specific number of building blocks will be on display at City-Center Bergedorf during the promotional period.

Participants are tasked with estimating the number of blocks inside the tube.

The winners are the three people whose valid estimates come closest to the actual number of blocks.

The person with the smallest difference will receive the first prize, the person with the second-smallest difference will receive the second prize, and the person with the third-smallest difference will receive the third prize.

If multiple participants have the same deviation from the actual number for a particular prize tier, a random drawing will determine the winner among those participants.

By participating in the contest, you accept these terms and conditions.

3. Entry Period

The contest begins on September 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. and ends on October 2, 2026, at 8:00 p.m.

Entries received outside this period will not be considered.

4. Eligibility

Individuals aged 13 or older who are residents of Germany are eligible to participate.

Minors may only participate with the consent of their legal guardians. The organizer is entitled to request appropriate proof of this consent from minor winners before awarding the prize. If, despite being requested to do so, proof is not provided within a reasonable period of time, the claim to the prize may be forfeited and the prize may be awarded to the next eligible entrant in line.

Employees of the organizer, as well as individuals directly involved in the organization and conduct of the sweepstakes and their relatives, are excluded from participation.

Participation is free of charge and not contingent upon a purchase or any other payment.

Only one entry per person is permitted.

The organizer is entitled to verify, to a reasonable extent, prior to awarding the prize, whether the eligibility requirements—in particular, minimum age and place of residence—have been met. Appropriate proof may be requested for this purpose.

5. Participation

Participation requires viewing the Plexiglas tube with the building blocks on display at City-Center Bergedorf and estimating the number of blocks inside it.

The estimate can be submitted in two ways.

5.1 Participation with a Contest Entry Card

Participants must fill out the sweepstakes entry card provided on-site, enter their estimated number of blocks, and drop the card into the designated drop box during the entry period.

The information marked as required fields on the entry card—in particular the name and at least one contact method—must be complete and legible.

5.2 Participation via Instagram

Alternatively, participants may enter via the official Instagram account of City-Center Bergedorf.

To do so, participants must, within the entry period, send a direct message

their estimated number of bricks and
a photo of the Plexiglas tube
üon display at City-Center Bergedorf.

Only Instagram entries in which both the estimate and the photo of the tube have been submitted are valid.

The photo serves solely as proof of participation in connection with the exhibition and will not be used by the organizer for advertising or publication purposes.

No individuals may be recognizable in the photo. Photos in which individuals are recognizable may be rejected by the organizer; the participant may be asked to resubmit a suitable photo within the entry period.

5.3 Multiple Entries

Only one entry per person is permitted.

Anyone who both submits a contest entry card and participates via Instagram, or who submits multiple guesses, will be entered solely with the first valid guess received by the organizer.

6. Prizes

The following three prizes will be awarded:

1st Prize: LEGO Architecture – The Statue
of Liberty 2nd Prize: LEGO Creator 3-in-1 – Exotic Parrot
3rd Prize: LEGO Germany Postcard

Cash payment, exchange, or transfer of the prize to another person is not permitted.

The images or product depictions of the prizes may differ slightly from the actual products awarded.

7. Determination and Notification of Winners

After the entry period ends, the actual number of building bricks in the tube will be determined and compared with the estimates received. The organizer will document the determination of the actual number and the evaluation of the estimates in a transparent manner.

The three valid estimates with the smallest deviation will win according to their ranking.

In the event of a tie, the winner will be selected by random drawing.

Winners will be notified via the contact information they provided upon entry or, if they entered via Instagram, via direct message.

Before awarding the prize, the organizer may require appropriate proof that the eligibility requirements have been met.

If a winner cannot be reached due to incomplete or incorrect contact information, fails to respond within a reasonable timeframe set by the organizer despite being notified, or is unable to provide proof of eligibility despite being asked to do so, the prize may be awarded to the next eligible participant in line.

8. Claiming Prizes

Prizes will not be mailed or sent by any other means.

Winners must pick up their prize in person at the City-Center Bergedorf management office no later than November 2, 2026:

City-Center Bergedorf
Center Management
Bergedorfer Straße 105
21029 Hamburg

Pickup hours: Monday through Thursday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

A valid government-issued ID must be presented upon pickup.

For winners who are minors, proof of consent from a legal guardian must be provided upon request by the organizer. The organizer may also require that the prize be picked up in the presence of a legal guardian.

If the prize is not claimed by the deadline, the right to the prize expires. In this case, the organizer is entitled to award the prize to the next-ranked participant.

9. Exclusion from Participation

The organizer reserves the right to exclude individuals from the contest if there is a valid reason to do so.

These include, in particular:

false or misleading personal information,
attempts at manipulation,
multiple entries,
violations of these Terms and Conditions, or
other attempts to improperly influence the conduct of the contest or the selection of winners.
In the event of a justified exclusion, there is no entitlement to a prize.

Personal data will be processed solely to the extent necessary to conduct the sweepstakes, verify eligibility to participate, identify and notify the winners, and award the prizes. The legal basis for this is Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. To the extent that processing is necessary to comply with legal obligations, it is carried out on the basis of Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR.

When participating with a sweepstakes entry card, the contact information provided on the card, the submitted guess, and, if necessary, the information required to verify eligibility will be processed.

When participating via Instagram, the following data is processed in particular: the Instagram username, the content of the direct message, the submitted guess, and the photo provided. The photo is used exclusively as proof of participation in connection with the exhibition and is not used for advertising or publication purposes.

Within the organizer’s organization, only those individuals who need the data to conduct and administer the sweepstakes will have access to it. Data will only be disclosed to third parties to the extent necessary to conduct the sweepstakes, where there is a legal obligation to do so, or where another legal basis exists.

When using Instagram, communication takes place via the platform of the provider Meta. Meta processes personal data in accordance with its own privacy policy. The organizer has only limited influence over this data processing by Meta.

The personal data collected for the contest will be deleted after the contest has been fully concluded and the prizes have been distributed, or the entry cards will be destroyed, as soon as the data is no longer required for the stated purposes and no statutory retention obligations prevent its deletion. To the extent that statutory retention obligations apply, the relevant data will be restricted or retained exclusively for that purpose for the duration of such obligations.

Data subjects have, within the framework of the statutory requirements, the right—in particular—to access their personal data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data deleted, to restrict processing, to data portability, and, where applicable, to object to the processing.

Data subjects also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The Hamburg Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information is specifically responsible for the event organizer.

Winners will first be notified personally via the contact information provided upon entry or via Instagram.

A winner’s name or Instagram username will only be published on City-Center Bergedorf’s social media channels with the winner’s separate consent.

Consent to publication is not a prerequisite for participation or for receiving the prize.

12. Note Regarding Instagram

This contest is not affiliated with Instagram or Meta and is neither sponsored, endorsed, nor organized by Instagram.

By participating, participants release Instagram and Meta from any claims related to this contest, to the extent that such a release is legally permissible.

All questions, comments, or complaints regarding the contest must be directed exclusively to the organizer and not to Instagram or Meta.

Instagram is not the organizer or point of contact for this contest.

13. Liability

The organizer bears unlimited liability for damages resulting from willful misconduct or gross negligence, as well as for damages arising from injury to life, limb, or health.

In the event of a breach of essential obligations due to slight negligence—the fulfillment of which is essential for the proper conduct of the contest and on which participants may reasonably rely—the organizer is liable only for foreseeable, typically occurring damages. Otherwise, liability for damages caused by slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

Mandatory statutory liability provisions remain unaffected.

The organizer is liable for technical malfunctions—in particular, outages or limitations of Instagram, internet connections, QR codes, or other communication channels—that are beyond the organizer’s control only within the scope of the above provisions.

The organizer is not obligated to remedy technical malfunctions beyond its control.

14. Modification or Early Termination of the Contest

The organizer reserves the right to modify, temporarily suspend, or prematurely terminate the contest for good cause if proper conduct can no longer be guaranteed for factual, technical, or legal reasons and it is unreasonable to expect the organizer to continue the contest in its original form.

This applies in particular to cases of manipulation, significant technical malfunctions, force majeure, official or legal requirements, or other circumstances over which the organizer has no reasonable control.

Any changes must not unreasonably disadvantage the participants. Legitimate claims already accrued by the participants remain unaffected, to the extent required by law.

15. Legal Remedies and Governing Law

The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany apply.

Legal recourse regarding the contest decision is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

16. Final Provisions

Should individual provisions of these Terms and Conditions be or become invalid in whole or in part, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions.

The organizer may amend these rules during the course of the contest only if there is an objective reason to do so, in particular due to mandatory legal requirements or to correct obvious errors or ambiguities. Changes may not retroactively alter participants’ chances of winning, claims already arising, or other material rights to their detriment. Material changes will be announced in an appropriate manner.
